Visited today for an October Half Term kids music session. It was the most fun I’ve had in a long time, my mood had been really low that morning and this really lifted it. Such a well run session, I hope there is more of these in the future.

I really enjoy going to Holmfirth library. I love being able to request a book online from any Kirklees library to pick up locally. The staff are really friendly and helpful. They talked me through the online system, how to get audiobooks and magazines as well physical books. It’s a great place to work and upstairs they have tea and coffee available and lots of computers to use. I also love the selection of Holmfirth goodies that make great gifts for family and friends. They sell cards, tea towels etc and local guide books and walking trails!

Disappointing visit initially, rude and unhelpful staff member in Fiction section. Upstairs very nice helpful member of staff, would have given five stars but toilet in a poor state and step for children to use to access toilet was filthy. The place it self was very hot and uncomfortable, had to leave early because of this. Don't know how staff can work in such an uncomfortable enviourment.

My son and I visited Holmfirth in September of 2018. We are from Ames, Iowa. The people of Holmfirth are what made our visit so memorable! everyone we met was so helpful, cheerful, and amiable. The two women we met in the Library were helpful beyond belief and friendly beyond measure. I have included their picture so they will receive the credit they are due!

Smaller collection than in the past, but efficient, friendly and dedicated staff. If they don't have a book they can get it quickly for you. Libraries and gyms are the jewels in the crown for Kirklees.
