Lovely setting with beautiful views over the Holme Valley and excellent food. The best Croque Monsieur this side of the channel!
Brilliant cakes, beautiful location, very friendly service just a great thing to do on a nice morning or getting easy access for cakes at home.
Upperthong's first cafe is brilliant. It's very reasonably priced given that no expense has been spared with really nice ingredients and delicious home baking. Coffee is really good. Relaxed quirky atmosphere with the usual fun friendly Oak characters providing entertainment. Beautiful view and outdoor area.
Came across The Oak’s Pantry whilst on a short break with our dog. We were exploring the wonderful walking routes around Holmfirth and surrounding areas, when we stopped to enjoy the spectacular view from the path beside The Royal Oak Upperthong. It was then we saw the board for The Oak’s pantry. What a find! Delicious freshly prepared breakfasts and butties, but also dog-friendly (both inside and out). Abi & Co were lovely and found my lactose intolerance & request for Worcestershire Sauce (!) no problem. We enjoyed it so much we returned the following day on our eBikes. Coffee, home-made cake followed by a local pint!Life doesn’t get better than that. Give it a try. You won’t be disappointed.
The most delicious treats and coffee! Super relaxed atmosphere and lucky enough to have beautiful weather to enjoy the stunning views. If you are in a 20mile radius of Holmfirth and the ‘Thongs this is not to be missed!
