Lovely experience. Booked the supper club on a Friday and had a 6 course meal. Minimalist menu with emphasis on quality ingredients. Excellent service too — attentive and friendly. Bonus points for having a variety of alcohol free options including two alcohol-free wines. We also had some cakes the next morning and they were also delicious. Definitely worth a visit if you're near Holmfirth.
Had our anniversary dinner here on a cold snowy night in December. The atmosphere was very warm and cozy and the staff were very attentive. Food was fantastic, the butternut risotto was the best risotto i've ever had. Sticky toffee pudding was an additional bonus.
Unusual place in many ways. Decor is fun. Cosy upstairs with quite a lot of seating. Food was excellent. Every course was delicious. Didn’t think I’d manage all three but I did. Had nice local beer (canned). Tricky access. Either up a cobbled steep street or steep steps and once inside more steep steps to eating area. We needed to pay £10 a head deposit to book but that’s kind of nice as your meal seems cheaper on the night. Staff friendly.
Wow, I wanted to do something a little different for my birthday this year and the whippet and pickle didn’t disappoint. I booked a bottomless brunch for 4. We had more than enough food, a brunch board and a waffle of our choosing. Excellent range of drinks. It wasn’t like the usual bottomless drinks where you leave legless and hungry. We left feeling full and happy. Thank you to the waitress’. A wonderful day with good friends, good conversation (that I could hear that wasn’t drowned out by loud music) and fantastic food.
Went for brunch with 2 adults, 2 children and a dog. Great menu choices, something for everyone. Lovely place and service was friendly and welcoming. The food is top rate. Thank you
