This place is an absolute gem. Me and my daughter came for our monthly burger date, and we were not disappointed. Hands down the BEST burger I've had 12/10 juicy, full of flavour, didn't want it to end Daughter had the old skool and I went for the October special even writing about it is making my mouth water. The staff are fabulous too, can't remember who we spoke too but he was really good, polite and friendly nothing too much trouble. Will definitely be back here as I want to try a chicken burger next time. 5 star 🌟 all round If you haven't been, you're missing out.
Quite possibly the juiciest, tastiest burger I've ever had . 3 adults and 1 child went for a birthday meal . We had 3 Boss burgers , Skin on fries, onion rings and chicken poppers . Everything tasted great . Most places just pack the burgers with lettuce and cheap salad . Not here ! So juciy and full of flavour although they did tend to fall apart after a few bites but hardly an issue. The skin on fries were seasoned well and the onion rings were crispy and sweet . Chicken poppers were a decent size and made from proper chicken and not that cheap processed stuff you find in the supermarkets. The service was friendly and super fast even though the place looked quite busy ! My only gripe would be that maybe the fries should come with the burgers instead of having to pay separate?
We visited John’s Burger in Holmfirth after our hike in the Peak District, having seen all the great reviews – and it really lived up to the praise. We ordered the plant-based burger, which was very good – full of flavour and cooked just right. The only small thing we would suggest is maybe adding some pickles or pickled jalapeños for an extra tang. We also shared the loaded Vietnamese fries and a vegan coleslaw, and both were absolutely exquisite. The fries were packed with flavour, and the coleslaw was fresh and tasty. We enjoyed some very tasty craft beers with our meal, which went perfectly with the food. After a wander around the town on our way back to the car, we popped in to grab a coffee to go. We were pleased to see an alternative to dairy milk on offer, and the coffee was delicious too. The only downside was the price – fries and coleslaw weren’t included with the burger, so we had to order them separately. We ended up paying nearly £40 for one shared meal and two beers. That said, the service was lovely and helpful throughout. A great spot with tasty food, good drinks, and friendly staff – worth visiting, though be prepared for the prices.
Great burger experience. Fast service. You need to book as the place was full. We went for the boss burger and it was very nice. Well worth a visit...
First visit to Lou & Joe’s. We turned up early for a booked table and was made to feel welcome straight away , sorted some drinks then shown to our table No problems at all.
