Izzy did me a full head of highlights and I have never been happier with my hair, Izzy spent time talking to me before she began on my hair to ensure that what I wanted was fully understood and she exceeded all expectations of what I wanted. As well as making sure I was comfortable, she was attentive and chatty and I felt very relaxed in the environment. A lovely lady and a very talented hairdresser I will definitely be returning !

I absolutely loved my hair with Izzy! She makes you feel so welcome and her home salon feels so safe and relaxing. I had a cut/ blow dry and a treatment on my hair and it’s feeling the best it’s ever felt. Can not recommend her enough, thank you for the loveliest experience!

*EDIT to respond to owner, totally untrue, I never asked for my hair to be orange! And it was never discussed that it would not take to my hair. The owner states that such a "dark colour" would never take to my hair, but the highlights shown are much lighter than my natural hair colour, so this is simply not true. If you look at the pictures... Who would want their hair like this, never mind be happy with it? They also ignore the fact that my hair was dip dyed, and the bleach had been left on way too long, as I've now had confirmed by multiple, experienced hairdressers. The rest of the comments made are also a lie. The lack of professionalism here is even worse than what happened to my hair. I wish I had realised that the 5* reviews on here were also ALL family and friends. Unless you just want basic blonde highlights, avoid at all costs Unfortunately I have had my very first bad hair experience here. From the pictures I've added, you'll see the reference photo which I hoped to replicate. Within the consultation, I was told this was very much achievable with a balayage technique. You can see from the photos of my hair (shown in different lights) how it looked afterwards. Upon seeing the colour I was asked if I was happy with it. To be honest I was in so much shock that I just said it's different but very bright. I was told that it's hard to tell what colour will be achieved as the salon is in a basement without natural lighting. When I got home and saw it properly under natural lighting I was devastated. From the reference picture you'll see that it's a dark copper/auburn, blended softly. The end result was an almost neon orange. After lots of tears I managed to get into a salon a couple of days later, and they told me that the bleach had definitely been left on too long, with no toner to take the brassy/orange tones out. This is in addition to the fact that it has been dip-dyed, and no highlights or balayage technique was used. The salon had to do a full head colour to get me back to brunette (it's worth noting I have NEVER had my hair dyed before, so there was no colour to go over in the first place). I was originally charged £85 for this hair. It's cost me a further £75 to get my hair back to how it was, and the orange tones still show through - I will have to have repeat visits to get my hair dyed until it eventually grows out. My hair is now the weakest and most brittle it's ever been. To say that I'm disappointed with my experience would be an understatement, and despite being offered a partial refund, I'm saddened at the responses I received when I expressed how I felt. I was told that it's just "how the colour took" to my hair, which, after speaking with another salon, they have disputed this. I'm posting this review because I wouldn't want anyone else to go through a similar experience. I saw from the 5* reviews and lovely Instagram posts that a good cut and lovely blonde highlights can be achieved, so I can only presume that further colour specialist training is required to achieve what I asked for in the reference photo - I'm not sure why I got told it was doable when it very clearly wasn't. Don't make the same mistake I did!

Izzy has created a gorgeous private salon. She is very personable, attentive and professional. I'm very pleased with my cut and I look forward to seeing her again soon for some colour! I haven't had my hair coloured at a salon before and we discussed this when I had my cut. Izzy is very keen to do things to properly, so she has given me the patch test, which is very reassuring. Can't wait to visit again! I would recommend a visit to The Basement if you struggle with big loud salons and if you like a personal touch.

I had the best experience at this salon! I found Izzy’s page on instagram and went to her to try a new style. I was a bit nervous changing my hair but Izzy was very professional and knowledgable throughout. The results were amazing, better than I imagined! Amazing results and the cutest salon! Will 100% be going back x
