Bought some fuel and richmond cigarettes at £15 but the cigarettes where cheap knockoffs, selling dodgy cigs as real ones. Not on that.
This is a post not about the petrol Station but about the Holmfirth Cheese Shop which is at the side. A hidden gem, that I will be visiting again. I only just noticed it on my way to the gym as I drove past slowly thanks to the cycles in front of the traffic. I had a friend visiting from hamburg who loves cheese, as do I. The lady behind the counter was very knowledgeable and I ask for advice on a different cheese based on other cheeses my friend likes. I was given a sample of the cheese before I bought it but was made aware of the fact its better when allowed to warm. I enjoyed the 2 that where recommended and chose one for myself a lovely crumbly lemon. Very refreshing and would cleanse the pallet.I asked for advice also which craker to have with the cheeses. I did not ask whether it would be better with butter! that to me is a matter of personal choice but I will try the cheeses naked and with a proper bit of butter to compare. Hope you enjoy your visit as did I.
A wallet was lost today so thought we'd try the garage 'just in case' as we were retracing steps. Sure enough they had found it when cleaning the forecourt and kept it awaiting our return later. Many thanks!
Bought some curries and kebabs. Beautiful food. Bought some lovely cheese next door too. Lovely lady let me use toilet thanks ever so much.
Don't buy any fuel it was quite expensive. But stopped at the cheese shop attached to it. A wonderful selection of unusual cheese.
