Great News the Holmfirth Post Office is back to its superb best!!! It went through a wobble with COVID and the old management but now it has been taken over it has a wonderful, friendly service. I use the counter and the drop and go service, both are handled very professionally, they even take UPS and EVRI without an increase in the queues. The lining/queuing up for the counters system could do with a tweak as tourists who do not know it just take a right and jump the queue (or try to) without knowing. A wonderful town had a wonderful Post Office again, I would recommend it highly and if you left, now is the time to come back , you won't regret it. Always fun to visit, great banter, football chat or weather talk, whichever you prefer, what was once a chore is now quite a fun trip. 5/5
Always a pleasant experience when visiting. Staff are helpful and friendly, and very rarely have i had to queue for more than a few minutes (i come regularly in my lunch break so this is amazing for me, thank you guys!) Great choice of cards & some really lovely gifts too for any occasion. My favourite little go-to shop in Holmfirth!
Don't bother, went in 2 weeks before Xmas 2023, no stamps, just been to buy some euros--non in stock. What is the point of a Post Office which doesn't stick stamps at the busiest period and euros in the January holiday season? Not enough staff, one old lady behind the counter with 6 waiting as she tried to find a box for some random frame someone suddenly decided to buy (after having to find out the price first). I won't bother going again, support your local small PO instead, these don't deserve to succeed. Oh, just remembered visited year ago to have passport checked--no, don't do that either...up to you, but I would avoid.
