On Saturday we paid a visit from Sheffield and bought four books, only to leave them in the shop. When we returned, the shop was closed, so I rang them on Monday to explain. I was really impressed by the fact that they arrived the following day by parcel post. Excellent service.

Lots of books, some good quality reads. I just wish the prices were a pound cheaper, I would have bought some books if they’d been priced at £2 instead of £3

I went at the weekend for a browse at the children's books for my granddaughter. As I was picking the books I wanted and putting them in a pile a rude member of staff stood next to me and started sighing. I carried on choosing books to be told "excuse me" very loudly ,she grabbed the books I chose and started slamming them back in the window and shelves. I left with no books and won't be returning! As we left my husband said she was being rude to everyone. Her customer service skills need rethinking!

I’ve bought many books here. I was glad to have it so near my house. But in recent years it’s been managed by a grump who sets a sour mood for the whole place. There’s constant moaning every time you visit. They’re especially peeved if you take books in to donate. You can hear them muttering away in the back room complaining about people bringing books in! It’s quite funny in a way. You could set a sitcom here 😂

What an awful experience. An absolutely horrible man behind the till. We went in to see if there were any books from the overpriced used store after picking up some new from a lovely independent book store. The rude man said you can't touch the books to the kids as they have to sell them. They are used books!!!! Books are to be read!! I wish I could rate this lower as this awful person should not be ruining the experience. I will never set foot in this place again.
