I have 2 incredible pieces i bought at bearded theory festival. They are now my favourite pieces. Crafted with care and love for nature. These pieces were adjusted to fit me and look so beautiful. I have constant compliments on them and they are so comfortable to wear. I have a disability which causes my hands to swell and I can adjust the fern ring so I can always wear it ever with swelling. I cannot wait to buy more pieces.

It might be a bit OTT to say this but I stand by it.....the Rooks & Roses evening course at The Sculpture Lounge in Holmfirth should be on prescription! Even if you already have a grounding in metalsmithing and know one end of a ballpeen hammer from the other (I didn't!) this course will teach you something new. Karl really knows what he's talking about and the passion for his craft really shines through. But it isn't the least bit intense, quite the opposite....you'll come away each week feeling like you've meditated your way through the session. Peaceful surroundings, soothing music, a working space that smells of old wood and fragrant oils, every tool you could ever need to use....and Karl guiding you through every step in his professional, knowledgeable but gentle and good humoured way. If you don't enjoy this course.....I don't know what to tell you 😄. Thank you Karl, you have amazing talent. Not just for your work but how you teach and inspire others to feel the joy.

I ordered a ring the other day, and I must say the shop’s customer service was exceptional. Even though the issues were on my side, they were incredibly helpful and responded promptly to all my requests. The ring itself is absolutely beautiful! I first came across their stall two years ago at a market and I’m so glad I followed their official ins page. It allowed me to find exactly what I was looking for when I needed it! Highly recommend!

We decided to have our wedding rings from Rooks & Roses after first seeing Karl's stall in Leeds Street market. His work is of masterful craftsmanship and exquisite taste in which nature, organic shapes and mythology are the main flagships. We genuinely love the irregularities that make artisan work unique and it seems just right to make a jewelry like this the symbol of the compromise with each other. I am really happy with our choice not only because it's stunning but also because Karl is such a pro and lovely generous person, and this is something we will always remember. Thank you Karl, we we'll see you again for more beautiful jewelry for sure!

Just finished the weekend intro to jewellery making course and I LOVED it! I would highly highly recommend. We learnt the basic skills to create multiple items... (luckily I booked my boyfriend and I onto it, so I came out dripping in copper and silver! 😉). Karl is a brilliant teacher, he explained everything and allowed us to get creative in a safe environment, he supported our ideas (however mad they were) and the small group meant we got focused mentoring throughout. Couldn’t recommend enough, and also fantastic value for money. Thanks again Karl!
