Imagine Toy Shop

We recently attended this lovely cute toy shop, tucked away on a sweet cobbled road 🩷 My daughter absolutely loved looking at all the toys, the lovely owner even let her use the loo! I have read the other reviews, and the shop is small if you are comparing to giant retail toy stores! But if you want a cute, homely, original toy shop, this is the place for you! My daughter even got a lolly pop for free after she chose her toys, the lady there could not have been a nicer lady! Thank you so much and we will definitely be revisiting. Xxx

I had googled best shops near me that specialise in selling fidget toys. This shop came up so we took our well behaved grandson. I had warned him they will only sell a selection so not to get too excited. Thank goodness I did. The tiny toy shop had a good range of making projects and soft toys however they had very few fidget toys and they were very sad and plastic. The shop also had notices saying buy before you play, which was 1: not welcoming and 2: not practical. Half the stock wasn’t easy to work out without opened examples. So in summary not a shop that has a great variety of fidget toys. Also customer service was at its bare minimum. As you can see a very angry and unprofessional response has been received from the shop. Sadly they decided to ignore the positive comments. The fidget toy is a very popular item nowadays. I’ve seen many well made items that are built for durability. We absolutely need to support our small independent shops locally. However when we do and the customer service is rude and angry and unaccustomed to feedback then buying from online retailers is the alternative. Lastly it wasn’t the size of the shop but the promise of size and variety of stock within.

I have come to say more or less what the last reviewer had written. I have family in Holmfirth and decided to visit this shop for the first time after seeing online articles about being an Aladdins cave and best toy shop around etc. Sorry but this shop is so so tiny and very EXPENSIVE. Not much to look at, soft toys and games that you can buy much cheaper online. I have seen the ladies FB page and seems very childlike and i feel she really is clutching at the straws. Owner does complain a lot and i think that also puts people off too. Shop is very quiet and feel like i was being watched constantly, not very welcoming or friendly. I can see why the owner doesn't make much money from her sales EDITED...Not sure why you think this is personal? I don't know you! And how do you know if people have been to your shop? Do you remember everyone that comes into your shop or do you search CCTV daily? You have been in the national newspapers, I'm sure it could be anyone that is negative or leave reviews. If you don't want negative publicity then don't go to the newspapers complaining and putting your life online then you will get negativity. But i visited your shop and no it isn't an aladdins cave or very big. I was in and out within minutes. I'm sorry if you can't take criticism but you need to realise, tour shop is hidden away. Your prices are high and yes they are cheaper online. I can't support local businesses if they are double the price to what is online. I follow your toyshop page so obviously i know what content you post. So not sure what you are getting at. You cannot attack and threaten people because you don't agree with someones review of your shop. It's unprofessional! Love and light 😊

Absolutely brilliant little toy shop, some lovely gifts in here. So cute.
