We’ve just returned from our second holiday at Holme Valley. Brilliant again :) We love this site, it’s got a fab play park for the children (plus a good number of ducks to keep them entertained!), excellent toilet facilities (we hired a bathroom this time, great for the kids… baths a bit shallow for an adult though!), lovely big pitches and lots of room to run around. They have a wonderful food hut… the chocolate croissants are A*, and a lady that brings a coffee van twice a week…. Both highly recommended! Thanks again for a great week!
I stayed in the Ivy Pod with my partner in November. It was cosy and warm and had everything we needed. The staff were fantastic , they could not have been any more accommodating.
Lovely campsite, loads for the kids to do. Toilets and shower block very clean but tricky for young children to use on their own as they are locked with a key code. Chocolate croissant from the onsite cafe was delicious. Lots of little extras on offer to keep everyone entertained, such as crazy golf, fishing and alterain mini tanks.
Short weekend stay with the grandchildren. Onside park was a major plus. Show blocks/toilets were fine although the showers weren't very powerful, but you are camping after all. I haven't put a rating for the room as we were in a tent. Good food/cafe stop too. Seasonal activities on site too. Grandkids did den building and crazi bugz which were like off road vehicles that they could drive around a track. Wanted to have a go myself. All in all a lovely stay. But if you want a quiet camping experience, probably not for you.
Beautiful location, toilets and showers were absolutely immaculate. The reception was warm and informative. The shop is well stocked and there is a food shack on site open at various times serving pizza to croissants. We had a fabulous spot next to the river, teaming with fish, ducks and all sorts of wildlife. It's a good walk to Holmfirth, you can walk along the road or choose the longer and adventurous route along the river and past two cricket clubs, through woodlands and at times challenging trails.
