After an unfortunate initial reception, and ignoring the cliquey and misogynistic culture / behaviours / attitudes of some members, it turned out to be a very enjoyable afternoon, mainly due to a very friendly and welcoming chap who came to spectate with his daughter later on. Have to mention it was also very affordable, unlike Hollingworth Lake.
A welcoming, friendly, well run sailing club. As a female sailor it was important for me to find a club that didn't have a misogynistic feel to it, I'm happy to say I feel very comfortable at HSC.
