We are lifelong members and enjoy popping in to NT properties. This one was perfect for the weather, wouldn't like to visit on a wet day, built in a hill with lots of grass and mud paths. Toilets in the greenhouse or café Would visit again

What a wonderful property! I had an absolute blast seeing all the sights! I wish they had educational stands at each attraction to teach us when and why it was build. The ground are phenomenally beautiful! And for £5 you have so much to see! There is even a kids play area that’s enormous! Ice cream is sold. Gently used library! And the castle grounds are very cool!

Nice, easy access and good quality NT property. No gift shop (😭), but saved a few quid to spend in the cafe instead. Attractive gardens and parkland, get quite close to the deer population. Muddy in places, good walking shoes/boots recommended.

Lovely hilltop castle where you can climb to the top of the tower.

Lovely castle and a fantastic view from the top. (Was quite proud of going up all of the steps and looking out from the very top, as I don't like heights).
