The Lounge

Nice friendly place to get a drink or some food we had breakfast it was spot on for the price the bacon in my breakfast was cooked to perfection just the way I like it will definitely be going back

We held a. Function at the lounge recently and was told. We has booked the whole venue out for our event only to find when. We arrived they would only give us half as we didn’t have enough people( they knew how many we had when we booked) But ok we would make the best of it. Then the food came out we had ordered a buffet was told the day before it had all been made. I think they ment they made a quick trip to Coop and sliced some quiche and cheese and onion rolls. I didn’t expect too much but a bit of salad or some fruit would have been nice on the table. It was a sea of beige the sandwiches were replace with bread rolls cut in half with minuscule amounts of tuna and sweetcorn or chicken. I also must have assumed there would be something suitable for kids but we had to buy them some things elsewhere to eat and get a take away on the way home. Positives were the staff were lovely and it’s a lovely venue the food was a big let down and the fact we paid for a full Venue and was given half, although lucky for us by the end of the night it was just our guests anyway But that was wasn’t the point/ I will be booking elsewhere for future events

Hired the lounge for our small wedding and it was absolutely perfect for it, they were so accommodating and the staff were all so helpful. Highly recommended 🥰❤️

I simply cannot score more than one star! Whilst visiting for lunch today, the manager/owner turned up and I’ve never seen such disgusting behaviour towards staff. He stood behind the counter/bar and whilst staff were doing their duties he’s clicking his fingers and rudely/aggressively telling them to serve customers within micro seconds - this happened a few times, not just the one occasion. One of the staff can’t have been that old at all. It’s disgraceful behaviour! It was absolutely freezing inside as well, which isn’t ideal when it’s about 1 degree outside. My partner ordered a scone and unfortunately they had ran out of cream. Rather than come and check how to resolve; wherever that be refund or other options, they just brought it out with extra butter and jam. I don’t think a chocolate orange scone with extra jam quite works… We’ve been a handful of times in the last few months and always found the food to be good.

We celebrated our golden wedding anniversary party in January. We had 35 guests all of whom had a Fantastic night. The food was excellent The staff were excellent and the atmosphere was excellent. Would highly recommend it for any special occasion.
