We had our first visit to this place its a very smart casual place with a stunning choice of cakes and a mild selection of hot/cold food I decided on the ploughman's platter tray and wife had the winter special spaghetti bol It was fantastic quality and tastes were fantastic Only downside which is a personal choice for us was its a dog friendly place and the dogs which was in was barking and it got annoying when you have escaped from our kids for an hour to end up with barking dogs haha Other then that well worth a visit to this place They also offer cocktails/wines/beers alongside teas and coffees
Cafe, cake and cocktails! 🙏 Says it all Right on the seafront it's a nice size and was already busy at lunchtime on a Saturday! Very welcoming friendly helpful staff 👍 Lots of tables catering for all sized groups and families. Cocktails 2 for £12, on offer for Xmas at 2 for £10 ! 🙏 (Next time! 😂) Thinking we would have a "lite" bite, normally I would have had a full English (so much for lite!🤔), but missed that as they stop serving breakfast at 1130, we decided on the festive sandwiches (Turkey, stuffing and pigs in blankets) accompanied by roast potatoes 🥪 and a club sandwich which were very good, very large, made with lovely fresh bread! One thing leads to another so a couple of glasses of wine were ordered too! They even made our 2yr old grandson beans on toast which he thoroughly enjoyed! ( Note - you will not be wanting much for tea later!😂) I noticed that another young boy on the next table was getting a very nice looking strawberry milkshake which was covered in marshmallows which the waitress said was not on the menu but they had made him one. How good is that! The menu had a wide range of very nice tempting dishes. Yes I should have taken a photo of the menu but it gives me a reason to return! 😂 Cakes? So many choices! 🤔😱😂 Home made and seriously large slices! 🍰 Good enough to send your blood sugar levels into overdrive just by looking at them! We're looking forward to returning as there is so much more to try! 👍
Outstanding food. Every time we eat here the service and atmosphere is brilliant. Everyone is always welcoming and helpful. Asked to change my order and they were accommodating. Thank you guys. Keep up the amazing work. Oh and beautiful artwork done by a Yorkshire artist.
Being a regular since first opening I've seen how they have improved their service through listening to customer feedback. Can not knock the food, friendliness of the staff or the atmosphere in the cafe. The bonus is that they are very dog friendly which is mostly why they have my custom - unlike other establishments who don't allow dogs inside - makes a massive difference to me after a walk on the beach on a cold day, not having to sit outside with my food & drink just because I have a dog. I love my coffee, sausage sandwich & Tilly enjoys her sausage too - you can purchase a sausage for your dog too. It's our treat after a good beach walk & a welcomed warm area, not just in temperature but also from the staff too. Love this place, ideally situated on the sea front. Well done team lapries x
We’ve been here many times now, and it never disappoints. The customer service is genuinely outstanding – friendly, attentive, and always super helpful without ever feeling overbearing. You’re made to feel welcome from the moment you walk in, and that alone keeps us coming back. The food is absolutely beautiful – clearly prepared with care, full of flavour, and presented perfectly every time. It’s also wonderfully dog-friendly, which makes such a difference and is always handled with kindness and consideration. The atmosphere is something unique and different; it may not be the typical lively buzz, but that’s actually part of its charm. It has its own calm, understated vibe that lets the food and the service really shine. Overall, this is a place we happily return to again and again. Thoughtful service, excellent food, and a welcoming environment make it an easy and wholehearted recommendation.
