On Holiday so Had to come and taste for myself this National winner. This was a take out . Not restaurant. First off the chip's were nice and chunky but a few were very oily/greasy. Haddock tasted frozen but nice batter Currys sauce delicious Mushy pea delicious And fish pattie delicious
The chips were lovely , I had the large sausage which was amazing however I dont belive there was an option for battered. But it had an amazing atmosphiere and fraindly staff. Would recomend if traveling through or around hornsea as it is perfect for lunch or even chippy tea. The prices were rather cheap £3.30 for a regular portion so cheaper side of the market and just over £2 for a small portion and £1.20 for a small sausage and £1.60 for a large but the ammount of additional sausage you get for 40p is more than expected. Highky recomended.
Restraint and takeaway. The restaurant is very well done out and very clean. The service is excellent with a relaxed and not rushed atmosphere. Large portion size, the fish and chips were not greasy and good quality. Large pot of tea or coffee with the fish and chips. Card payments are accepted. Booking is probably recommended at peak times.
Lovely little chippy, extremely busy both in the restaurant and in the takeaway, we didn’t book but I imagine in the holidays and weekends it would be a good idea to book. Food was delicious and I even took some home in a doggy bag as the smaller portions was a little too big for me. Fantastic gluten free options and very knowledgeable staff regarding food allergies. Well priced would highly recommend.
We called in for fish and chips takeout on a weekday between Christmas and new year. It was really busy and queues outside. But I stood and waited. It was fairly quick before I got to make my order. We wanted 1 cod and 1 haddock with chips. Sadly they had run out of cod that's always mt preferred fish so I had haddock. We took the food and sat in the car with lovely sea views and enjoyed it. The haddock was good lovely batter and chips. But I was slightly disappointed that they had no cod. But otherwise I really couldn't complain. Especially how busy it was for a weekday lunchtime. I will definitely be coming again and hopefully cod will be in stock 🙏. I would have given all 5 stars if cod was in stock and good like the haddock plus we ordered a regular chips to share rather than 2 small portions and to be honest it was more like a small portion.
