Great coffee and tasty food. Cheese scones to die for! Well filled paninis and bacon sandwich, and a generous portion of beans on toast. And prompt service too. Love the mix of furniture styles and the quirky counter front made up of drawer fronts.
Don’t buy the hotdogs! We had one each with onions but no onions arrived in one. Plastered in cheap American mustard and still can’t get the taste out of my mouth 2 hours later. Ate inside, flies everywhere, service was absent, no napkins, no cutlery brought to table, long wait time. Were absolutely starving so ate it but regretted it. Yuk yuk yuk! Had to laugh tho, but will never ever go there again. Flat White was okay but the order for Latte arrived as tea. We were blamed for not being clear. Maybe owners should realise that minimum wage translates to minimum effort 😂
Nice cafe, big and bright and warm. Found the prices very reasonable. The coffee was nice. The pizza was great for the price of £6.50 and the scone was tasty and fruity.
I used to order online for coffee beans from them and whilst the quality, price and delivery were always great I will never forget that after years of loyal, frequent orders they refused to honour a discount code I had as I'd missed the timeframe of the offer by a truly insignificant amount. It soured me on them & I haven't ordered again since, hence the 3 stars (EDIT: now 1 star because of owner's reply). EDIT: JUST LOOK AT THE REPLY FROM THE OWNER BELOW: I'm honestly shocked by this response. Instead of acknowledging the feedback, you’ve chosen to be defensive and dismissive which only reinforces the exact issue I mentioned. Whether it was 6 years ago or 6 days ago doesn't change the fact that the experience happened, and it shaped my view of your business. A review reflects a customer's overall experience, not just the date of their last order, and I'm fully entitled to share mine. The fact that your first instinct is to criticise me for leaving feedback after I HAD ALREADY MESSAGED ORIGINALLY which stuck out in the memory after time had passed rather than consider why a loyal customer stopped ordering says A LOT about the attitude behind the scenes. If anything, your reply has only validated why I chose not to return. Others should be aware of how mismanaged this business is. Unbelievably bad customer service.
We have started popping in for a cuppa, we decided to have something to eat the other day, my husband had a breakfast and really enjoyed it. I had a big hot dog it was spot on. Will definitely be back.
