Visited on bank holiday for a quick bite to eat for the family. Was really disappointed to see flies absolutely everywhere. On the windows, on the sandwich counter, in the displays crawling all over the food. The staff noticed them but gave nonchalant swipes in the direction of the flies and carried on like they weren't there. Not what you expect in an establishment that sells food where food hygiene should be top priority.

Great bakery and good prices. Very friendly staff, and the cheese straws are excellent. Usually warm, right out of the oven. Brilliant.

Awful staff, Two working behind the counter felt like an age to get served, and the food was mediocre at best. Arrived there 45 mins before closing time and they had stop serving essential everything. (Cold sandwiches included)

Was served in a Hull Cooplands by an ultra polite young man who didn't look as if he was being forced to work there . Fast forward to Hornsea, an oxymoron experience to say the least. No atmosphere, staff act as if someone has forced them to be there, slow. The list is endless to be honest Oh by the way Heron sells all the pies , cheese straws and sausage roll in their freezers, put them in the oven yourself

It was 4pm, husband wanted a certain sandwich and was abruptly told if it wasn’t on the shelf he couldn’t have one. We were the only customers there and there is a big poster saying ‘sandwiches made to order’, lazy and rude.
