Residence Cafe Bar Cookridge

My first visit here! Looked great all done up for Halloween and had a nice atmosphere inside. Lora the manager was very friendly - greeted me on entry and sorted me out with a coffee. Family arrived and joined me for food and I had an excellent Caesar salad. Everyone’s food looked fab and Daisy our server was very helpful. We’ll definitely be back!

The brunch here was lovely. The food was tasty and the ingredients were high quality. I have a dairy and gluten intolerance and they cater really well for this. We got friendly and attentive service from Olivia who was knowledgeable about the food/intolerance things. We will definitely be back!

We’ve been coming here since 2022 every week pretty much and seen the breakfast go from wonderful to where’s the breakfast gone! I’m sorry to say it is not value for money and what topped it off was when you remove an item and ask for extra mushrooms you get extra charges for the one extra slice of the now giant mushrooms ! May sound petty but there’s nothing rewarding customer loyalty, and when it’s a £60 bill every week ( £3k) per year spend summary we are not coming anymore. Don’t make the breakfast so small and still increase the price of it! It’s bad for business and does not encourage repeat custom. Sad to say we have found alternatives. You say you’ve not reduced your breakfast size please see my other 5* review. Yes Bobby Curtis and I have come in weekly. You say there’s no size reduction Used to be 2 hash browns now 1 Used to be 2 sausages now a 1/2 sausage Poached egg small like a quails egg Button mushrooms changed for 1 large mushroom Toast used to come with butter now comes buttered. Feedback is fair when balanced and giving a 5 * review previously and then noticing a decline is also fair and something you need to take notice of.

Had the best breakfast experience of my life! The service was great, me and my son have been in three times, on the second visit Liv remembered our order. The third time we treated ourselves to a mega breakfast and it was worth the extra cost, it was very special. Liv and Lora are lovely and cheerful and my dog Jesse also thinks they are cool ☺️ Definitely found my local coffee shop cafe after being in the area for 18 months. Great find!

Amazing hidden gem! We visited Residence Cookridge last Sunday for brunch & had the best time. We chose eggs Residence & Avo on toast with Mediterranean vegetables, both dishes were incredible, tasty and cooked to perfection so compliments to the chef! We found the prices to be reasonable and the whole vibe is modern but chilled. We will be back!
