The building, inside and outside, was beautiful! Loved the windows and the moulding, as well as the cozy atmosphere. The service was impeccable. In particular, Theo and Callie were efficient, responsive, and professional while giving me just the right amount of space I needed to enjoy a quiet lunch alone. The Fox & Hounds has made the best steak and ale pie I have had in months. The crust was flaky and just the right amount of thickness. The steak was tender, and the gravy inside and a nice depth of flavor. Nicely done! Highly reccomend dropping in if you are in the area.

The roast dinner was truly one of the worst I’ve ever had. Meat was dry, gravy was watery and the veg resembled rabbit food, the carrot picture attached gives a good example of the meal as a whole. The vegetarian wellington had a whole onion in the middle and tasted only of cardamom. This experience did not reflect the price at all and I would have given zero stars if I could.

Went for breakfast with Santa with my daughter and 2 year old grandson. Waited 20 mins to be asked what drinks we wanted. An hour in and food was only just being served to the guests from the earlier slot. Had to leave. Would not recommend. Paid to sit for an hour only to have to go elsewhere and pay again for food. Would have loved a refund but emails don't get a response. Shameful! Update* After swift communication from the fox and hounds, a full refund has been given along with an apology. I feel it's important to add this as whilst it cannot change the experience, it shows that they are willing to do the right thing and that's important. Will give them another chance because of this. Thanks!

Right not being funny how can you not cut steak in half for 2 separate mixed grills but can provide an 8oz double up on one order. All in all, my opinions on the food weren’t great and I wasn’t happy with the decision the chef decided to make for my order. Ignoring the fact, the service and atmosphere were absolutely brilliant!
