Lovely warm welcome, really stepped up from Little Scoffs in way of greeting and presentation. Felt very much like what began as a casual café, is now a grown-up restaurant with ambition! We sat near the door which was a little cool each time more customers came in from the November chill. Most tables were full. The food was amazing, we shared a scotch egg starter, which was served hot with pea puree and was so tasty. Sunday dinner including Yorkshire pudding, roasties, side order of cauliflower cheese and lots more ... the effort and passion for real food is literally served to you on a plate. Desserts were apple pie & custard for him, and trifle for me. Best trifle ever. Nowhere else that I've tried compares to Scoffs. They love food and they put everything into their dishes. Top marks from us.
We had a Christmas dinner at Scoffs which was amazing. Definitely the best vegan roast I've had! The portions were very generous, and the price was great for what we got. My non-vegan boyfriend loved it too! Big Scoffs has a lovely, warm atmosphere and friendly, helpful staff. It's great to see a vegan business thriving. I completely recommend it!
Today the hubby and I went to Big Scoffs and we had what was very possibly the best Sunday Roast we have ever had. I had the nut roast but this was like no other that I’ve had! It was juicy, succulent, fabulous textures and tasted amazing. Adam had the beef and it was superb. All the trimmings were delicious and the gravy was perfect. I had the trifle for dessert, Adam had the ice cream. Both were beautiful. The restaurant is fabulously decorated and the bathroom is stunning! I am so excited about Big Scoffs and we are already booked in twice more in the not too distant future! We are very much looking forward to chippy tea and next time we have Sunday lunch, I am going to have to try either the Scoffs egg or the pâté- both look fabulous. It’s definitely not just us saying it’s amazing! All around the restaurant I could hear people saying how fabulous the food was!
Big Scoffs was fantastic, they do such a great variety of fully vegan food which you can’t find easily elsewhere. The service was great, food came in good time, and it was reasonably priced. You can feel the amount of effort that has been put in to the place, it’s well worth a visit for vegans & non vegans alike! (Would highly recommend the arancini)
We visited for Big Scoff’s Christmas Dinner which was fantastic. It was the most generous portion of roast I’ve ever been served (bar an unlimited carvery perhaps) and everything was very tasty, from the seitan turkey to the deep fried stuffing and veg cooked to perfection. The dessert, Black Forest trifle, was simply heavenly. The interior is lovely, warm and welcoming, the staff are wonderful, we’ll be back soon!
