Amazing food and even better service. Myself and my wife just had a baby and we hadn't ventured out to a restaurant yet. We decided to create a new tradition for our new little family and have a meal out on xmas eve. We found this place as my wife has coeliac disease and all of the food on the menu was gluten free or had a gluten free option. So we booked a table for us and our 4 month old for an early dinner. From the minute we walked in we were made to feel so comfortable and at home. The service was impeccable and the food was honestly some of the best we have ever had. Our little one started to cry half way through the meal which usually makes us a little nervous when we are in public, however the owner came over and reassured us that it was fine and there was no reason for us to be anxious. Sorry we didnt get the owners name but we wanted to say a massive thank you. You made us feel so comfortable and at ease for our first meal out and your kind words meant more than you will ever know! Highly recommend this restaurant and we will definitely be back.
I visited this places yesterday and orderd the Sunday Roast. For the price I was expecting more than 2 potatoes, 1 carrot, 1 parsnip with a few peas and cabbage hidden on the plate. I did expect the roast to be exquisite in taste, but unfortunately it was nothing special. The chicken had no taste as it was all on the skin of the chicken. The roast itself was tasty just not for what you got and price. For starters I got 4 prawns. It was edible. However I am not a big fan of prawns, but wanted to try them. The staff here are amazing. The Horsforth restaurant is very small and the atmosphere is ok however it did feel a bit crowded.
This is an absolute must if you are the horsforth area. I took my wife for her 50th birthday and she was delighted! We had the deal for Β£18 which is either 2/3 dishes. The chicken breast in leak and cream sauce was superb as was the chorizo and prawns. Drinks menu is also extensive. The restaurant is exceptionally well located and we even had time for lovely pint of murphys in the irish bar next door. Highly recommend.
Wonderful, delicious choice of small plates. Hard to choose a favourite but the pig cheek bourguinon is up there. Would recommend over-ordering to try as many dishes as possible and graze away. Try the Sunday menu too... it's the best!
What an absolute gem of a place. Great food, lovely staff, and fantastic value for money. Strongly recommend a few things, including the baked camembert board, the chicken and egg (which was utterly incredible - so many flavours and textures), and the lobster croquettes. We had five sharing plates, a dessert each, and a cocktail each. Came to Β£100. Absolute bargain for the quality.
