What a wonderful chemist this is! Can’t praise it enough! As it is independent, they can obtain certain brands of medications that others cannot get hold of as they have to stick to certain suppliers. Unfortunately a member of our family has to take a particularly strong drug that needs to be a certain brand as any other brand, just can’t be tolerated. I spoke to Dan about our situation a long time ago, he reassured me and has made sure we have that medication everytime we need it! Such a relief and we are all so very grateful to him and his lovely team of staff. They are all so professional, helpful and always go above and beyond to make sure you’re happy with their services. If I could give more stars I would!

I've been using this chemist for over eight years and have never had anything less than a great experience. The pharmacists and staff are personable and very obviously care a great deal about what they do. The shop can get busy, which highlights how popular it is and the staff deal with this in a diligent, friendly and professional manner every time. If they don't have an item in stock they can usually order it in especially and have on more than a few occasions managed to provide me with medicines for elderly, as well as very young, family members that other chains couldn't get hold of. I currently don't live in the area but still use this one as the big chains just don't compare.

Great Pharmacy! the staff are always so helpful despite being extremely busy, they always have a welcoming smile and can’t do enough to help you. Any questions are always answered and the staff are knowledgable and very friendly.

Mitchells pharmacy is my go to, they are always well stocked, organised with prescription and none prescription items. I did originally use mitchells a year or so ago because of Rosacea & sore eyes, and the guy knew immediately the eye issue was blepharitis, he advised a prescription medication which he was able to arrange with the GP, he really does go above and beyond to help you, I felt comfortable with him because he listens, doesnt rush you and has a genuine need to help. I also have my prescriptions sent here and there is never an issue. Even though it is a small chemist they do have a wide variety of toiletries etc, quite reasonably priced. They sometimes have little tester samples on the counter which I always take advantage of. I use them all the time now. Thank you 😊

In the 10 months I have lived in Horsforth I have tried to support this local business. However , during this time they have never once had my prescription ready on time, regardless of how long they had held the prescription from the GP. Today was the last straw. The GP surgery completed my prescription on the 22nd July, today is the 30th July. I told the lady behind the counter that they had never had my medication ready, and she came back with 'We ask for 7 days from receipt of prescription to order things in'. I pointed out it was now 8 days and the pharmacist said it was working days. When I challenged the need for 7 days I was told it was industry standard. I then queried this as ridiculous and asked if I had a sick child and came with a script for anti- biotics would I wait a week, at which point I was told no, because just like in hospital they 'prioritise' who needs meds most urgently. I questioned whether someone needing mental health drugs was less urgent, and was told I can take my business elsewhere and that they would refuse to serve me if I was rude, then, after calling me out in front of all the other customers for this, they then asked for me to show respect because I said "I haven't got time for this, just crack on and do whatever you need to do". I hadn't sworn, raised my voice, belittled them in any way, I just questioned their poor service in as polite but firm way as you can. It seems that they don't like criticism, and that customers can accept it or go elsewhere. Incidentally, they are supposed to text me when my meds are ready but this only ever happened on one occasion....AFTER I had collected them ! 🤔 What a shambles .
