Broadgate Lane Post Office

Terrible post office - staff are rude and unable to provide a basic level of customer service to those trying to use the post office. Parcel has been shown as delivered by Royal Mail including a POD and confirmation by Aireborough Delivery Centre however staff are adamant that the parcel is not there. No help whatsoever and I would strongly suggest others go elsewhere for mailing services.

Staff are completely incompetent and have no idea how to manage the post office side of things. They act as if the inclusion of post office services to the shop has been nothing but a burden and make absolutely zero effort to give a reasonable quality of service.

Staff are nice but don’t seem to be trained for the post office section in the shop which is worrying! I went in to send a print in a thin tube to Canada & the lady said it was classed as a medium package. She was about to process it but then another staff member came over and said it wasn’t a medium, that it was a large, and they were not allowed to process large international package. Neither staff member actually brought out a measuring tape or double checked the size requirements to send international. If they had done their job properly they would of found out it was classed as a small package. They told me to go to the Horsforth post office instead. This post office measured the tube and said it’s actually classed as a small package, so really this place should have sent it off for me. Anyway, please don’t go here unless you are sending back returns or buying standard stamps. They should get rid of the post office section as it’s clear it’s a hindrance, no one wants or seems to be trained to actually use it! Just go to the one in Horsforth town instead, the staff are so lovely and know what they are doing.

Terrible service, try to avoid if at all possible. Staff are rude - last time I went in a member of staff was loudly complaining how wrong it was that we’d gone in to use the Post Office when it was due to close in ten minutes. As our transaction took less than two minutes I’m unsure what the problem is? Staff laziness? The shop is consistently untidy, dirty, poorly stocked and usually full of packaging from products and other rubbish. Such a shame they chose to close the nearby Post Office and move it to this shambles.

Only a few minutes from where i live and if i need to send apackage off instead of main post office in horsforth i just visit here quick and convenient even for quick shopping or run out of tea bags late at night (think,open till ten,and reallly need to take pictures,and milk and sugar 😊👍)
