I grew up going to Hardakers but I visited last week and I won't be going back. The lady serving handled the previous customer's money and then made my sandwich without washing her hands. There was a sink right behind her. Money is apparently one of the dirtiest objects you can touch.

The food looked wonderful, but I wasn’t able to buy anything as I only had my phone with me (they are cash-only). Perhaps a sum-up machine is the answer? For £34 they wouldn’t lose any more sales.

They do the best tea cakes in the area! Friendly old-school bakery with lots of delicious things. Bring cash as they don't have a card machine.

Their sandwiches are excellent; hence my 5* review - BUT - I am not a fan of their “CASH ONLY” policy one bit to be honest and I am sure it puts people off that too…

Love these guys. The food is amazing and also cheap! I would recommend a Cornish pasty and a iced bun and a drink of whatever you feel like.
