KD Carpets

Had my flooring done recently from KD Carpets Horsforth and from start to finish of the process the customer service was excellent, the fitter was very friendly and professional and the quality of the work exceeded my expectations. My new flooring looks fantastic and I couldn’t be happier with the end result. happily recommend them to anyone.

UPDATED: After using this store over the years I asked for a small area of 5x5’ carpet to be re-carpeted. The underlay and grippers were in place already, with carpet from this store, the need being as the result of an accident. The fitter that was sent arrived late, insisting without any quantification the work would take 3-4 hours. Obviously this was an overestimation and since this visit I comfortably had another fitter do it in an hour. I offered up to 90 mins for the job, he refused, which I had no issue with. He started being sarcastic and rude and then stood in my house and stood, and carried on standing, refusing to leave….bizarre yes, frightening very…at a loss and having had a heart operation recently this distress at 62 was not good for me. My son asked him to leave as well and he wouldn’t…I called the store manager whom I assumed would do as asked under the circumstances and call his fitter and encourage him to leave…no call came we know because the fitter was still stood in my home, for what seemed an eternity as it was so distressing and irrational and horrifying that he wouldn’t leave…my son has stage two hypertension and suffered an attack and I suffer from afib and also had an attack while this fitter refused to leave my home….what does one do in such a frightening, intimidating and unhinged situation…the only option was to call the police. My son came to me in my kitchen to ask if I was ok as I needed to take a heart tablet, and when he did the fitter then walked out of my house, to then run back to my front door and attempt to push his way back in when my son tried to close my front door when we heard him leave. Frightening is an understatement…the fitter then proceeded to speak loudly in the street for all to hear, on his phone to whomever, and vocalise violence towards my son, who merely asked him to leave, nothing else. Then this fitter started sending abusive texts to me (I assume the store gave him my number, sent copy of text message to KD Carpets and ignored by them). Ironically it appears from an earlier conversation with Gary, the fitter ran woefully over on his first job by some hours and it appears this money could not be recouped from that customer according to Gary, due to the work sheet setup. The manager, a guy previously mentioned in one star reviews, hence all became clear, the fitter arrived several hours late to my job and needed to then charge another half-day to recoup the money…makes sense now…be interesting when this review is seen what excuses will be made bearing in mind I have home CCTV and no interest has been shown privately…what does that say about a business who allow such a dangerous person who has been recorded in these actions represent them at customers homes then ignore it all….and clearly condone it all…the good news is yes I did get a carpet fitter with 16yrs experience who completed the job in one hour including a cuppa and a chat….so Dave’s outburst was all about getting money out of me for much, much more time than needed… Dave could be your fitter next…no reply to the emails (plural) sent to head office, which have been ignored, one call from the Horsforth store, who facilitated this fitter, is not investigating the complaint…and with reviews reflecting Gary’s attitude, he is hardly a rational party to address this issue…along with calls NOT being responded to since the incident…one would have assumed the call to action here would have been direct responses to my emails, but no…clearly the embarrassment of a public review is the ONLY factor that has triggered this response…try harder KD Carpets…and show some integrity…

Absolutely brilliant service from start to finish. The team at KD Carpets were amazing ,nothing was ever too much effort. From the very beginning, the sales guys really took their time and paid attention to detail, helping me choose the right carpet that suited both my house and my needs. Once the carpet arrived, the fitters came out within days, which was such a nice surprise. They were super friendly, made me feel completely at ease, and did a cracking job. Even ended up sharing a bacon sarnie with them on the day! Big thanks to Tom, Dom and Smith (sorry if I’ve got any names wrong!) genuinely lovely guys who clearly take pride in their work. The carpets look fantastic and have made such a difference to my home. Would 100% use KD Carpets again and highly recommend them to anyone

KD Horsforth recently fitted a stair / landing carpet and two bedroom carpets. Jamie and his team did a great job. Fantastic range of carpets to choose from and competitively priced. All carpets fitted very well with excess carpet / off cuts taken away at completion. Two pics attached of the stairs and one of the bedrooms.

This family run business was recommended to us and we are so glad we chose to use them. Their showroom in Horsforth has a huge choice of carpets, vinyl’s & flooring – we were helped by attentive staff - Gerry came out and measured the area, and they provided us with sample books to take home to check colourways matched with our existing bedroom carpets. Nothing was too much trouble for these guys. The price we paid for this excellent service was extremely competitive and the store manager Jamie was really keen to make sure we were happy with all aspects of the experience. Alistair was our fitter – a true professional – obviously years of experience in carpet fitting – it showed in the final result – well done KD Carpets!! We highly recommend your Company.
