Anna's Happy Kitchen

Anna's Happy Kitchen

Description

Anna’s Happy Kitchen is a newly refurbished café come farm shop celebrating everything pig! From the décor on the walls to the table condiments to the “boars and sows” signs on the toilet doors!

The café and farm shop comes about by Anna’s Happy Trotters, Yorkshire Free Range Pork which has been wholesaling Free Range Pork products direct from the family farm, including dry cured bacon and gammon as well as the glorious banger since 2008.

It has been a dream of Anna’s for ten years to open up her own farm shop at this particular site and after a lot of hard work the dream has become reality at this popular location just on the outskirts of Howden but on the busy Coastal road being the main route to the seaside from the M62.

The menu goes to show just how versatile pork really is with the “Whole Hog” breakfast, Curry of the Day, Ribs of the day, Trio of Sausages served in a Giant Yorkshire Pudding, salads on the “Light Oinks” Menu, and so much more! Just peruse the menus to see for yourself!

And with a huge butchery counter if you enjoy your sausages so much, you are able to buy a pack or two to take home with you or take a popular BBQ pack on to the seaside with you.

As well as a well stocked fresh meat counter there are also home made pork pies and sausage rolls as well as delicious Ready Meals, from lasagne to curry to pulled pork portions and much more.

And with cakes and desserts being made in house daily if you’ve got a sweet tooth there’ll be something there to tickle your fancy.

For those with dogs there is ample seating outside and fresh water available.

Being biker, scooter and cycle friendly, as well as bike racks there are locks available to borrow and a cycle repair kit on site.

Our absolute favourite place to come for breakfast 😋 Food is lovely and great quality. Staff are friendly and welcoming. We won’t go anywhere else for breakfast after discovering this place just over a year ago❤️

Great home made food. Ample portions. Everything well set out and clean, included toilets. Fairly varied menu and other plates looked tempting. Pudding delicious, again home made. Lots of great looking things to buy, preserves, biscuits, cake etc.

First time we've been here and what a great cafe / farm shop. Staff are friendly, it must have only been around 5mins after ordering when our breakfasts were served. You instantly could taste the quality of the ingredients, especially the sausages and bacon. Good sized portions and plenty of bread. Had a look round the shop and ended up buying some meat, all locally sourced and looks amazing. Highly recommend if you in the area or passing by.

This place is lovely, I had a Sausage Bacon and Egg sandwich which was a great hangover cure. I bought a HUGE scotch egg for the next day lunch at work. It was very very greasy and salty. I ate it on the paper bag it was served in on my desk and my desk was covered in grease. The paper bag is saturated with oil. I could only eat half of it as it was very sickly. I’d rather have a smaller really nice food, than a lot of Stodge to be honest.

Call here every time we pass through. Lovely place, great food at a good price. Last time we looked on website & it said it was closed so we called at calafornia gardens, no comparison, very pricey & food not as good. Gutted because after our breakfast we carried on our journey & your cafe was open. Website hadn't been updated. Won't make same mistake again 😂
