This pub used to be an incredible place to eat, especially if you fancied a perfect Sunday roast. Unfortunately, the pub no longer serves food and the current lack of atmosphere reflects this. I sincerely hope this cessation of food service is only temporary.
This pub has gone down hill a lot in recent months which is such a shame as it's a really lovely pub. We used to come here quite often for food, however, in recent months they have stopped serving food and now serve drinks only, which is a shame since the food was incredible. The general vibe has gone down significantly, a massive shame as it's a lovely pub with nice staff, but it's dead even on a Friday and Saturday evening. I would say they need to start serving top-quality food again which will bring people back, otherwise it will be sad to see this place go!
Absolutely lovely pub, we stayed for dinner and Iβm glad we did it was delicious, also had the home made sticky toffee pudding which is a must it was amazing. And thanks to the Lady who served us she was really friendly and polite. We will be back.
3 course Sunday lunch Β£15.00 per person was amazing brilliant service and food was spot on lovely pub π
I cannot recommend this pub enough. Looking for somewhere that was dog friendly on our way home for something to eat and found this gem. Top quality, freshly cooked Sunday roast followed by one of the best apple crumbles I've had. The chef even cooked a sausage for our dog. All the staff were friendly and professional. We just dropped in but I'd recommend booking as it's very popular even on a wet Sunday afternoon. Great work, keep it up π
