Great library, friendly helpful staff. The library is clean and tidy. Book genres easy to navigate. Spacious. Would recommend.

Brilliant library! Absolutely loads of choice of books. The staff are friendly and it’s all really easy. I just wish parking was easier for these town central libraries

since it moved premises, it has downgraded. only some of the stock is out and it has become rather a shadow of its former self. example: the comics and manga are grouped onto one shelving unit, arranged seemingly randomly. DC (my beloved) and marvel (don't care about it) are mixed up so it's a little hard to find the publisher you want. looking for the aquaman rebirth series, first time i went they only had 4th and 5th volumes. second time, only 3rd volume. i have had to ask at the desk for comics that should be grouped together on the shelf. series are also mixed up. i get that they want to display a range, but if a first volume isn't on loan, it should be the one on the shelf rather than one from in the middle of the series. i did have good luck with titans rebirth #1, however. the staff are quite nice and helpful. they also let my friend volunteer with them for bronze dofe and let me order in the third book in a trilogy.

Absolutely fantastic place for children. We took our 3 kids there and they loved it. All got registered by friendly staff for library cards. Lots of books to choose from , children can relax and read books on bean bags or sofa. Baby change facility. Children received a welcome pack and you can take their books back to ANY Kirklees library with no late fees. Will be going there regularly

I think the Library is kirkless safe place to go and is great for our community local area and for customer service is excellent 👍 . Huddersfield . History .austim friendly . studying . be social . relaxing This is great for out n about in Huddersfield learn more for education at Kirkless College.
