Happy Adventures Play Village

We were extremely disappointed with the organisation of my grandson’s birthday party from start to finish. When we arrived, the girls behind the counter had no idea what was going on, and nothing seemed to be prepared. The cake was brought out before the food, and when the food finally came, it was cheaply made and tasted awful. The party games were handled just as badly. Pass the parcel wasn’t stopped on my grandson, which would have made sense since it was his birthday. The snow machine was also completely rubbish and added nothing to the experience. Guests were left waiting around 10–20 minutes just to get a drink or food, with no staff available to help. When people asked for service, they were rudely told they would “have to wait.” That alone is shocking customer service. To top it off, when we asked what food they offered—bearing in mind the party started at 9:30am—we were told the only options were chips or cheese toasties. Really? Overall, the whole experience was chaotic, unprofessional, and very disappointing. My grandson didn’t get the special day he deserved, and we certainly won’t be returning or recommending this place to anyone. The party was on Sunday 23rd November

Lovely place to bring your kids, current offer of play for £2.50 on a Monday. There’s loads for the kids to do; the place is spotless and the kids love it. Food is really well priced. My only suggestion would be to get some more signage to explain where it is, for a mum lacking in confidence it was quite confusing how to get in the building and where to go. Just a note to other parents - not a complaint - there isn’t loads of parking so you may have to park up somewhere and walk a little bit.

I’ve been to a fair few play gyms but I’ve never been to one where it’s so cold you can see your own breathe, it was absolutely freezing and not appropriate for babies especially who are less mobile than kiddies who can run around and warm up. All adults sat with full coats on, and when I asked about heating was told it’s because the heaters don’t convey enough to warm it up! It’s sad because it could be really nice, but I won’t return unless the heating is seriously addressed.

Just want to say a huge thank you to Tom & Kamara and the Happy Adventures Team for such an amazing party. The facelift you have given to the place is great and really thought out. Something to keep everyone busy! Tom & Kamara were great Hosts and made sure everything ran smoothly. The food was incredible the platters were adorable and the pizza & sandwiches too! So much effort and detail gone into your parties, singing Happy Birthday before the food was genius! That way the kids could head back to playing when ready rather than having to hang around until the cake comes out. Having pass the bunny game and not forgetting the faces of the kids at the end when the foam machine came on 🤩 priceless! Thanks again!

Waited ages to be served on arrival. Baltic to the point I not only saw my own breath but others. Overheard the table next to us also complaining about how cold it was. The temperature made me want to leave practically as soon as we got there and is the main reason I won’t be returning. Ordered a hot chocolate.. nothing hot about it. The main playgym area is very dated, with the flooring peeling away. 2 stars for the deals offered throughout the week and imaginative play areas.
