Myself and my Sister in Law visited the Vulcan for lunch again yesterday and it was just fab! As always. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we we're there for over 6 hours. Lovely welcoming staff that can't do enough for you and are so friendly. Absolutely gorgeous, tasty, home cooked food, at a very, very reasonable price of £7 for a roast dinner with all the trimmings and lots of gorgeous gravy. The food here has never changed over the years and is always consistently tasty and delicious. The Pino Griogio is very reasonable and a lot cheaper than other places at £10.50 a bottle and very good quality. Lovely atmosphere and such a good old proper pub full of locals. Excellent value and quality and nowhere else that you can get food and service like this. Thanks to all the staff for a fab afternoon/evening yesterday. We will be back soon.

Hello, popped in yesterday in the evening. Lovely people working behind the bar and atmosphere was positive. Good beers too and a lovely beef and onion butty.

Decent pub and friendly staff. First pub of the day on our day trip to Huddersfield. It was early so Sam had a tea and I have a half pint of Yorkshire Terrier. No complaints.

Located a short walk from Huddersfield train station, this is a traditional pub with friendly staff and a great selection of beers. Very reasonable price also (about £13 for a round of 4). We didn't have food but the menu looked great and very good prices too. Lots of big screens dotted about also so would be good for watching sport also. Lovely pub.
