Bex's Coffee Shop & Coffee Roasters

I’ve been coming to Bex’s coffee for over a year and I’m so grateful that this beautiful artisanal space exists in Huddersfield. The coffee is exceptional, as are the pastries and cakes which you can often smell being freshly baked downstairs! The staff are skilled and always so friendly. A lovely space to get some work done, read or meet friends.

I visited this coffee shop after a recommendation from a friend, I was not disappointed. They had different blends of coffee in store with a good selection of yummy treats also. The owner was a lovely and pleasant man who was kind and accommodating. The staff were helpful and supportive also and I'd highly recommend if you are in the area

This review is an average based in several visits, not one singular experience. First time visiting: food was wonderful. Bored was tasty and we had them warm. Great selection of cakes. The cannolis are glorious! Ordered two large cappuccinos which tasted very weak, so we asked if there was enough coffee shots in given the size of the mugs. They happily remade them for us. Second serving was just as weak and watery so we left them. We hoped this was down toa bad batch or maybe an untrained barista. Second time visiting: same issue as above with coffee. Also wanted to purchase some beans as a gift so bought 1kg bag of home blend. The server was miserable and asked if we could pay cash. We had no cash and she gave us a look of disgust! Third time visting: usual coffee bean supply had not arrived on time so we nipped to Bex's for a bag of their home blend. The beans looked dry and they are very light in colour. We can barely taste them. The server again was rude, short with us, and treated us like we were an inconvenience. Such a shame. It's a great location and I'd have loved to have made this a part of my local route.

I visited Bex Coffee yesterday and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. The level of disrespect I encountered from the manager Rag was unacceptable and left me feeling extremely uncomfortable. As a customer, I expect to be treated with basic courtesy and respect, but instead I felt dismissed and spoken to in a way that was unprofessional. It’s a shame, because I had hoped to enjoy a positive visit, but this experience has completely changed my view of the café. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and train himself to treat customers with kindness and professionalism in the future. Katia Taylor

Great coffee and service from a very friendly staff. The atmosphere is beautiful and cozy, exceptionally clean & comfortable. Highly recommend.
