Tommy's Lounge is open Tuesday to Friday from 7:30 AM to 2:00 PM, and on Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 1:30 PM. Please note the cafe is closed on Mondays and Sundays. This is a terrific veterans (and anyone else) cafe. The food is first class and always piping hot. The banter is off the charts!!!
Like many visitors to this place I found it by accident yesterday. They made me and my dog Diesel most welcome. Excellent food and drink plus a great atmosphere. It’s not only for veterans but the military decor is great. But best of all is how friendly the staff and other customers were. Definitely I would visit again and highly recommend it.
Highly recommended, awesome bean to cup coffee and great food. It’s good value for money and you’re not forced to leave like most places. Been a couple of times and it’s always a warm welcome. As a Veteran, I love the wall art and theme of Tommys Lounge.

What a lovely little discovery as I stepped out of huddersfield train station this morning. I’d crossed the street , but did a second take and looked back again as I thought I’d spotted something special out the corner of my eye .. so I went back ,, and lick for me ,, I’d found ‘Tommy’s Lounge’ 🇬🇧💪🏻☕️ .. so I ventured up the stairs and m inside and was met by the Hound of the house .. little miss Lola 🐾 .. then the real ladies of the house who were ever so quick to welcome me in .. sit me down in the most comfortable of surroundings .. then give me the largest and best Flat White coffee north of the equator !! I’ll now be dropping in every time I���m off the train into huddersfield . Their concept and purpose behind what they do is so admirable , respectful and immensely appreciable ,, beyond just drinking tea or coffee .. my next visit will be for their breakfast too !! They looked delightful !! Thank you ladies and Lola for my time out of mind this morning ,, your welcoming hospitality,, and the lovely large hot coffee !! 🙏🏻✨🇬🇧✨❤️ Spencer (the Yorkshireman from Australia who’s back in Yorkshire 😉)
