Great parking for any event at the John Smiths Stadium as this is less than a 10-minute walk around. The best tip is to just follow the crowd! Parking can be purchased through the Huddersfield Town website for around £20. Note that passes need to be displayed in your windscreen for the stewards to let you on. Clearly signposted with easy access despite some roads being closed around the stadium. It does take around 20-30 mins to exit after as coaches leave before any other vehicles but you'd easily spend 15 mins walking to any other nearby SIP or NCP car park.
Parked here for Stereophonics. Not too bad getting in. We were fully aware that traffic would be held at the end to allow the surrounding roads to clear of pedestrians, so no issues with a delay. When the roads opened it was a complete shambles. One staff member sat looking at his phone doing nothing. Total free for all trying to get out of the exit. 1hour 25 minutes to get out. Do yourself a favour and park a mile or 2 away. Much quicker to walk. Spoilt a great day. Never again.
If I could give it zero stars I would. £20 to park for a concert and then carnage getting out. Whilst I expected a wait, having been pre warned, I thought it might be more organised. 3 young 'stewards' just stood having a chat whilst 500 cars tried to merge into one lane, what an expensive mess. It'd be easier to just park further out and walk. Never again!!!!
Great on arrival, but no mention on booking that no cars are allowed to exit until coaches are all departed. However Unhelpful Stewards, coaches still attempting to leave when the cars had FINALLY been released, and as soon as the cars were released the stewards disappeared. Sad I can't give one star. Utterly shambolic.
Terrible experience after a concert. They don’t let anyone out until the stadium is empty which is crazy as the car park gets totally backed up. Needs reviewing
