wouldn’t recommend this gym to anyone. Had multiple incidences of men taking photos of me in the gym. A separate incident involved a large disabled man half naked in the women’s toilets with clothes thrown everywhere, pointing at women and harassing them. Staff witnessed both of these issues and nothing was done. At one point my card stopped working at the turnstiles, and they charged me for a new one despite not losing it (£5). You have to pay for parking, which is expensive and sometimes the machines break and it costs more to do on the app. I was given a (discounted) £35 fine when I first joined because I assumed parking was free. I explained the more recent issues to KAL and asked to cancel with immediate effect and was told if I didn’t pay next month’s membership I would incur £80 of fees which would go to a debt collection agency! The T&C’s actually state that if you cancel your direct debit your membership will be cancelled and absolutely no fees are mentioned. Customer service lines were extremely unprofessional, laughing at my complaint down the phone, you’d think men sneakily taking photos of women they don’t know is a rather serious issue. I will be following this up.
Kirklees council run car park. 70p for 1hr Monday to Saturday. Sundays parking charges run from 12 noon to 6pm so please don’t pay for parking unnecessarily if your using and leaving the carpark before 12 noon on a Sunday like i see so many people doing. Your wasting your money and giving yet more money to the wasteful council. No EV charge points (which is strange for such a new site) and the parking spaces are a little tight so be careful. Generally clean, tidy and in good condition but still only worth 3 stars.
Hi, this is a very busy carpark because it's located next to the Leisure centre. The payment machines accept card and smart payment methods. Cash is, in my opinion, by far the quickest. Cost at the moment 70 pence for 1hr. £1 will give you 90 minutes. Please don't risk not paying as it's a money maker for fines. Often patrolled.
It good that there is car park, problem that it is only from the name Leisure Centre Huddersfield Car Park, because everyone from outside can park there. So often car park is totally full and people coming for their classes or gym in Leisure Centre have to look for space on other car parks or they have to cancel their plans of ho to Leisure Centre. Booking this car park should be by giving registration number on reception in Leisure Centre or online, not that we have to make circles to find our free space, especially when are school's holidays.
Gym is always too busy, people standing around talking on certain machines, don’t think the closures have helped, also you pay £30 a month for membership then have to pay for parking, if you go 20 times a month it’s £50 a month, other gyms offer free parking and cheaper monthly fees £20 JD…needs looking at
