Over the last few weeks I have visited the Huddersfield branch to navigate how to register a lasting power of attorney and due to my lack of computer skills had to be guided step by step by the professional staff. One Staff member inparticularly, an Asian chap, has dealt with myself and elderly dad on two occasions and went the extra mile to ensure everything went smoothly, thanks to all the staff.

A brilliant service over the telephone at the Huddersfield branch. My call was answered quickly and the multiple bank associated tasks I wanted to complete were dealt with by several different staff, all of whom were very professional polite and thorough. Very pleased with the excellent service.

I visited Huddersfield branch this week,a normal pleasant experience,though midday busy,was asked if I'd mind replying to an online review! I opened my expected email,but declined filling in the questions. I don't think the purpose of my visit is relevent to the survey,the purpose of my visit is private and personal,so I didn't complete it. I will say though that the staff are ALWAYS available and helpful .

I had my credit card blocked and had a lot of issues when phoning the various different teams involved to unblock the account.. was told I was required to attend the branch with two forms identification.. while I went into the branch a lovely lady at the front desk helped resolve the issue and despite having to experience yet more trauma being passed around the different teams over the phone.. she at least made it bearable.. so thank you :)

Do not use this bank if you want any customer service, the standard of care is abysmal, consistently giving incorrect information and promise call backs that don't happen. They are useless at dealing with any Power of attorney issues as highlighted in a Which report, " Nationwide is also the ONLY provider we surveyed that didn’t give attorneys an additional debit card (the card can be held by either the attorney or the donor, but not by both)."This practice causes mayhem if someone dies who you have POA for,as the staff in branch are clueless and will inform you the card will still work. It doesn't and they don't order a new one for you. My best guess is I will have no access to funds for approximately 3 weeks at an already very stressful time. Thanks Nationwide 😠
