My husband was referred to this surgery from our surgery for an appt to see a Dr there at 16.45 hrs. today. The receptionist on duty was very pleasant and the Dr he saw very respectful and kind with him considering my husband is 93 years of age. He was diagnosed with a chest infection and has been prescribed antibiotics. Thank you Speedwell surgery for the care he received.
This clinic is very unprofessional. The staff refuse treatment, confuse patients, and show no respect. I even received documents and a medical history that belonged to another person, which is a serious breach of confidentiality. Patients also have to ask several times just to receive medications and referrals. This is completely unacceptable.
I’ve been at this practice for over 25 years, and have always been extremely happy with them. I have found the receptionists to be friendly, pleasant and helpful despite being extremely busy, and have always been able to get an appointment as needed - sometimes having to wait of course if it’s not urgent, but on other occasions seen very quickly. The doctors and nurses I’ve seen have always been brilliant - taking time to go through options and possibilities, explaining everything well, compassionate, caring and approachable. In my experience, the service I’ve received at Paddock has always been very good indeed and I feel fortunate to be a patient there.
I came to this surgery last week I have been coming for years and the doctor was so rude and said I had infection and I did not so I went to home after got some B12 tablets from B&m feel a out better I was probably low on B12 the doctors need to get the facts right before attend the surgery again
I recently came back to this doctors after 3 yrs with another practice, because I could never get an appointment there. However after only 2 weeks I am leaving this surgery again as it seems that the other reviewers are right about the reception team sadly. One girl there is really nice whenever I see her in person as my kids are registered here, but sadly she is the only one. Anyway I requested a blood test and was told that I have to go to A&E to get one even though it’s not a medical emergency. I’ve never had a doctor refuse to do a blood test, no wonder the A&E department in Huddersfield is having problems! People are going to A&E with the flu! The NHS is beyond a joke now. How am I supposed to get a test for diabetes, thyroid issues etc if a doctor won’t even see me? I missed an appointment and was told that 3 strikes and they deregister people. Also never heard this rule before either. I know dentists are like that but never heard of this with a GP as it is law to be registered with one. I am going back to my old doctors and will be moving my kids from here too!
