Huddersfield Private Hospital

I was very nervous when I had my surgery at the Huddersfield hospital on 14/12/25. I was reassured and put at ease by all of the staff. I wish to thank all of the ward staff, particularly, nurses Sarah and Lauren, and health care assistant Jodie, who all took the time to take excellent care of me. Amazing team. They were all fantastic, very professional and lovely. Also, thank you to Mr Adair and all of the theatre team, who also all reassured me and looked after me very well. Also, thank you to catering for my lovely food afterwards. I had a lovely private room, very clean. I was waiting for my surgery in the local NHS hospital, and am still waiting.... I can't recommend the Huddersfield hospital enough, everything ran very smoothly from start to finish. Great hospital and staff.

Today I was pleasantly greeted and guided to where I needed to be and then seen by 2 different people. All staff were really friendly and helpful. Particularly Cherrie (HCA) who really helped me feel at ease with a welcoming smile and created a calm environment. She was really informative and answered any questions I had and her caring bed side manner was second to none. Also Kirsty (Nurse) who again greeted me with a warm and friendly smile. They are both a credit to their service and excellent ambassadors for their workplace. Such a lovely environment and the staff really promote a chilled out friendly vibe. Thanks

I went in for Laparoscopy surgery which went well. However, one of the nurses used excessive force on my hand/ wrist during the fitting of my canula, causing pain, bruising and swelling after repeatedly beating my hand. I attended A&E Huddersfield on advisement from 111 as I need an x-ray due to swelling, pain and colour change in my wrist/ hand. My x-ray showed bruised tendents in my left hand/ wrist requiring a brace to protect my hand. Putting my trust in a nurse to care and support me during my surgery, I did not expect to come out with an injury making my recovery more difficult than it should be. This should not have happened.

My visit was a pre assessment for my Gallbladder removal. I met with HCA Cherrie and Sister Jill. They were very welcoming and made me feel comfortable and relaxed. The two hours needed to perform their assessment requirements went by quickly and professionally. The kindness felt would put anyone at ease. I was able to ask any questions and they encouraged me to do so. I departed feeling so comfortable having the Gallbladder removed at a future date. Thanks so much Sister Jill and HCA Cherrie. The staff were brilliant thank you Mr Brooke & the surgical team , the anaesthesia team , nursing & physio staff , pharmacy , catering & the porter who took me to X-ray . Everyone took the greatest care , were extremely polite & kept me informed at all times , I have had several phone calls after discharge to ensure everything is ok , along with appointments for follow up. Everyone made a painful experience as stressless as possible
