Post office pick up

I've relied on various courier and delivery services for over 35 years, and I must say, the current service provided by the Post Office in Huddersfield is profoundly disappointing. The initial issue lies with their online presence and physical signage, which are consistently out of sync. On numerous occasions, I have arrived to find the office unexpectedly closed, despite what the website indicated. Their operational hours seem almost designed for inconvenience; expecting customers to be available for collection between 8-10 AM is unrealistic for anyone with a typical work schedule. Given the repeated issues, I am considering refusing deliveries that use Royal Mail, as I have never encountered such persistent problems with any other service. The level of service here is remarkably poor. L

I missed a parcel delivery today. Website said collection office open till 8pm. So I went for about 7.30pm and found it closed with a sign on the door with very different opening times. Apparently it closed at 6pm... who knew. Complete waste of my time. Update you're website...

I would usually give the collection office a glowing rating, as the staff are lovely. However, customer service has gone completely out of the window just lately. For the 2nd time in as many days, I've made my way to the office to find it closed, despite turning up within advertised opening hours. Amended hours have been posted on the door, but not on the website. So annoying! Websites are there to enable you to keep your customers updated! Today has just added to the frustration - yes, it's snowing. But, I've managed to get there, as have all the other customers who were reading the note on the door in disbelief. The handwritten note just says "Closed" - no apologies, niceties, or explanations. Come on Post Office, you can do better than that - you're supposed to be a customer service provider!

Pathetic customer service. Travelled specially in to town (and incurred parking charge) to collect a parcel yesterday only to find a hand written notice saying the collection office was closed. Went again today (another parking charge) only to find a new notice saying the collection office is closed. No information regarding when it will re-open, no notice on the website to indicate it is closed. No way to contact the location by phone......So, I have no parcel and no way of knowing when I might be able to be able to collect. I guess I'm lucky that the parcel doesn't contain any vital medicine.......GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER AND COMMUNICATE - UPDATE THE WEBSITE!

Opening times have changed folks!! Please keep this in mind when you go here. Monday shuts at 12. Tuesday at 4 Wednesday at 4 Thursday at 6 Friday at 4 Saturday at 12 Sunday closed This is very different! And a total inconvenience, but the staff are very nice and helpful.
