What a hidden gem!!I grew up with pakistani friends and would always eat their house. The food here has the exact same home cooked flavours and freshness! The pakoras are crispy and not drenched in oil, the samosas are the same and the sauces top it off! The staff are so friendly and offered me tasters of other dishes. So much better than the stuff you find on restaurants. Give this place a try you will not regret it

Food Review: The Original Fine Baker’s – Thornton Lodge Road, Huddersfield The Original Fine Baker’s stands out as a reliable, flavour-forward takeaway in Huddersfield’s Thornton Lodge area. With fast service, fresh ingredients, and a clean, modern setup, it’s a spot that delivers both quality and value. 🔥 Personal Highlights The freshly made naan is soft and warm—ideal for pairing with their rich chicken tikka. Onion pakoras are crisp, golden, and just spicy enough to keep things interesting. And today’s standout? The chickpeas. Served in a sauce so moreish, I went back for seconds… and thirds. It’s the kind of dish that sneaks up on you and suddenly you’ve eaten more than you planned. 🧆 Other Favourites Their biryani is aromatic and generous, samosas are satisfyingly crunchy, and the mango lassi offers a smooth, cooling finish. 💷 Value for Money Prices are spot-on, especially considering the quality. Generous portions, fresh ingredients, and no compromise on flavour make this a smart pick for locals. 🧼 Clean & Modern Setup The shop is tidy and modern, with a layout that reflects the care they put into their food. It’s takeaway-focused but feels fresh and welcoming. 💬 The Original Fine Baker’s shines with fresh naan, bold tikka, crispy pakoras, and chickpeas that are dangerously addictive. Served in a clean, modern space at prices that make sense, it’s a solid choice for Huddersfield locals who want quality without the fuss. What it really needs now is more people from surrounding areas—and from all walks of life—to give it a try. As an Englishman, I genuinely believe this kind of flavour deserves to be sampled across cultures. It’s a place where good food can bring people together. Sir Michael P Handy, Beaumont Park

The halwa puri was awesome, the portion was huge, and it tasted amazing. It was a total bargain. I also tried the kunafa brownies, which were a decent size. The kunafa was good, but the brownie could be better, though for £3.50, I'm not complaining.
