Sat in The Snack Shack enjoying my 2nd full English breakfast of the week. £7 foe 3 bacon, 2 sausage, 1 egg, hash brown, 2 slices of toast, beans tomatoes and a tea or coffee. £7 yes £7, you can't beat it for a price like that. A nice steady stream of customers coming to the counter during my visit. The market itself was reasonably full with customers looking at a wide range of stalls. The only shock was finding out the whole market is planned for closure in a years time. What are the owners/council thinking about??? Markets are the hub of the High Street up and down the country. They bring customers into the area which in turn helps other businesses around it. If you visit soon make sure you sign the petition to keep it open, I was working in Huddersfield for the week I actually live in Sheffield. If I return next year hopefully it will still be open and I can enjoy a fair priced full English once again at The Snack Shack.

A convenient place to get your Groceries and tidbits. Also a nice experience to shop in an open market. The prices are really good especially for the fruits and vegetables.

Huddersfield Open Market is ideal for economical shopping. You can find fresh fruits and vegetables at budget friendly prices as compare to other shops and superstores. There is a variety of home decore, clothing, house-hold, etc. Most of them are good but few items were not up to the mark. Still this open market is a blessing for many. It opens in the morning and mostly they wrap it up by 2:00 to 2:30. It has a restriction of traffic flow to provide ease to padestrian.
