Great Northern Retail Park

Shops are great. Parking is good. But trying to get out is ridiculous. One lane all round the car park ti exit until you reach 40 meters in front of the traffic lights when it then opens up into 2 lanes. There is a whole expanse of parking bays on the left hand side which are never used and could easily be made into a turn left only lan. Been like this for years and they had the perfect opportunity to do this a few months ago when the council changed the road layout around the park but they didn't do it. Took me 48 minutes to get out today. Wont be using this place again as a result of this. There are lots of other businesses parks around Huddersfield with much better access

Good Retail Park. I rellay like it. Most impressive shop is the NEXT and Sport Direct. They have an amazing offers and products. Free parking to 150min. the food WAREHOUSE have a big variety of beers and stadium is too close to the park. So, you cam get some beers for the football match.

We were staying in the area and visited once. The shops are ok but, as others have said already, the car park is very tight for space and we had to queue to leave even though it was far from full. The stores are large but no cafes and NO PUBLIC TOILETS.

Absolutely DISGUSTING experience. This place is a death trap disguised as a shopping park. Sure, the shops might be decent, but nothing—I repeat, nothing—is worth the sheer hell of getting in and out of this place. It took us half an hour just to reach the traffic lights from inside the bloody car park. There is ONE exit road. One single, narrow, ridiculous exit funneling out hundreds of cars. God forbid there’s ever an emergency—no ambulance could ever make it through, and if one somehow gets in, good luck getting it out. This place is a recipe for disaster. If there’s ever panic or chaos, people will either be stuck indefinitely or literally try to drive over each other to escape. I’m not even exaggerating. It’s that bad. Whoever was responsible for the risk assessment or layout of this place—shame on you. Honestly, may karma hit hard. I’ve been to a lot of poorly planned places in my life, but this one takes the absolute piss. I will never return. Not even if they were handing out free gold bars. Avoid this place at all costs—your nerves, your sanity, and your car will thank you.

Please be aware reading other review they are money making by fining for parking slightly out of bays whilst I understand it’s not great but we were at the end of line un affecting anyone just pure money making I didn’t know fining for out of the box was a thing not that much there and horrendous exiting won’t be revisiting 👏so many negatives re exiting and fining the shoppers just because they can not much there anyway my advice would be shop elsewhere
