The Light in Huddersfield is way more than just a cinema, and that’s what makes it such a great place to go. There’s a huge range of activities all under one roof, so you can easily spend hours there without getting bored. I’ve done the bowling, karaoke, darts, shuffleboard, interactive shooting, pool, the arcade machines, and the mini golf, and honestly all of them were really good fun. Everything feels modern, well looked after, and actually works properly (which isn’t always guaranteed with places like this). The arcade machines are great for a bit of casual fun, the mini golf is well themed, and things like darts, shuffleboard, and pool are perfect for just chilling and having a laugh. Karaoke was a highlight too — private rooms and a really good song selection. The atmosphere is lively and energetic, and it’s a great place to go with friends or as a date spot since there’s so much choice. The cinema side of it is solid as well, with comfortable seating and good screen quality, so it works just as well for watching a film as it does for activities. The only reasons I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 are that it can get very busy and loud at peak times, and some activities can feel a bit pricey, especially if you’re doing several in one visit. Overall though, The Light is a brilliant place in Huddersfield and I’d definitely recommend it if you want more than just a standard cinema trip.

This was a fun venue for entertainment activities, marking our first game of Curling ever played! We enjoyed pushing these down the lane from the chest as we aimed for the centre of the target, which shows as the North Pole on the digital screen above. We also played mini golf that weaves in characters such as dinosaurs, Mario and Tron; the e-bike is used on a hole that has a hidden hole-in-one route when the code is cracked! Settings such as an erupting volcano and Wheel of Fortune are included on the course, a giant labyrinth board is one innovative hole where we try to balance it the furthest along. Also played On Target shooting game where the rifle has telescopic sight, which was a solid experience to shoot down objects.

I took my son to the Adventure climbing wall recently. He had a great time. It was reasonably quiet on New Year’s Day - I think it would be a tight squeeze with loads of people in that area. Milo and Ash were great hosts! We also ate - quite pricey for the quality (I expected more to be honest - £30 for an adult and child’s meal with drinks was ok but the portions were small). We also visited the cinema while here to see Zootropolis 2. No issues there - decent seats with good leg room.

Today my daughter and her friends came to the light for a party and every single aspect of the venue was amazing from the food and the activities. I would like to mention the climbing team, especially Olivia and Milo, who put extra care and attention into helping the smaller kids up and down the walls. They both put amazing effort into the safety briefing, engaging the kids and making it a fun and great environment. Definitely will be back! Thankyou to all the team at the light x

We brought 5 teenagers to Star Quest Laser and they had a brilliant time. They played 3 games back to back and enjoyed each one. They said it was great fun and there was a lot of room to move around and several places to hide. We'll be back! Thank you to Sam and Melissa who were working today.
