Me and my kids visited splash park from Manchester. Honestly it was an amazing experience. My kids enjoyed a lot. Staff was really polite and helpful and the place itself was super clean. Paid parking is available just next to the centre. I definitely recommend this place.

It’s not the leisure centre that’s a bad place it’s the customer service team. Not one care about their customers bad experience. What they value more is money. God forbid you forget to pay on time for your membership you then get charged £15 PER WEEK! No contact attempts with customers and then refer you on to debt collection with TRIPLE the amount you missed. Do not recommended. Worst customer service ever.

We visited the splash park on 28/07/25. The staff from the reception desk, to the lifeguards were all very friendly and helpful! The splash park itself is medium sized with plenty of attractions. There was also a considerable amount of lifeguards who I noticed were always watching the swimmers. There is a small baby pool, a frame with 2 slides for younger kids, a lazy river, a small swimming section, a lazy river with jacuzzi seating area and 2 water slides. Min height for slides is 1.2m and my daughter who was just tall enough wanted to go on the U shape, however I wasn't confident that she would be safe in the double ring, as they are adult sized. It would be great if there was a selection of the double rings, as I did not think she would have been safe from falling out the ring so it was a shame we didn't get to do this. I would say that for children confident with getting wet, this place is ideal. My daughter does not like getting her face wet or splashed, so it was overwhelming as it is difficult to avoid splashing due to buckets, water shooting etc. We did get splashed unexpectedly by a bucket and the lifeguard immediately came over when he heard her crying to see if she was OK. The changing rooms are big, but with quite small changing cubicles. There are a few family sized ones, but the rest were very small so for the 2 of us we struggled to find a medium sized. The hairdryers, swimming costume spinners were free which is great. There is also a £1 heat machine which blows warm air, perfect for warming the kids up. The lockers take £1 and you are given a key on a strap, I did notice some missing straps and our strap was faulty so the key kept spinning out and catching on my wrist. Car parking is pay and display £2.30 for 2 hours. Spaces are quite limited due to the size of the building and other facilities.

Slides are height restricted so little ones can’t go on. Check in and changing rooms were good - just wished people took their shoes off in the changing rooms and didn’t walk with their shoes on around the wet areas. We parked across the road for a great price on a Sunday.
