We are completely disappointed. This gym is in terrible condition, starting with the equipment, which needs extensive maintenance. Not everything works properly. The paint is peeling from the ceiling in the steam room. It's hard to find a working locker to leave your belongings. And that's just the beginning. The men's restroom has a lot of visible mold, which is disgusting. The biggest problem is a boiler failure, which prevents us from using the pool, jacuzzi, and showers. The water is freezing cold and hasn't been for a very long time. The membership fee doesn't match what they offer. I think they should close this gym and fix the problems.
Unfortunately the standard has become consistently disappointing. For a gym that markets itself as premium and performance-focused, the state of the equipment is unacceptable. Multiple machines are frequently broken, damaged, or out of order for long periods of time, with little urgency shown in fixing them. This isn’t an isolated issue — it’s a recurring problem that directly impacts training quality, progress, and safety. What makes this even more frustrating is the attitude of the management team. Concerns raised by members are often met with arrogance rather than accountability, as if paying customers should simply tolerate poor standards. There’s a noticeable lack of humility, ownership, or genuine engagement when issues are highlighted — which only reinforces the feeling that member experience is not a priority. What finally pushed me to leave was realising that a gym just a few minutes further up the road offers a far superior experience. Yes, it’s slightly more expensive — but the difference is night and day. Equipment is properly maintained, hardly anything is ever out of order, and you can train without constantly adjusting your workout around faults. I made the switch a month ago and have no regrets whatsoever. Paying a bit more for reliability, professionalism, and a gym that actually values its members has been well worth it. When you’re charging premium prices, basic upkeep and respectful, accountable management should be non-negotiable. Until TRY Gym addresses both its equipment issues and the attitude at the top, it’s difficult to justify the cost or recommend this gym to anyone serious about their training.
Love this gym very spacious and got really good equipment to use , hardly busy so it’s really good as most gyms are packed but you can use any machine at any time. Staff are very friendly and overall really great
Unfortunately gone abit down hill, steam room ripping apart quite literally, almost closed every other day, equipment mostly faulty or very old now, buttons on treadmills missing, tissues left in bottle holders on equipments, has a fly problem they are literally everywhere, i hope the manager actually clocks in one day and acknowledges these reviews and problems because its a a gym with alot of potential. Staff however extremely helpful and kind, young girl at the reception specifically.
I am sorry to have to leave a bad review. I am a new mum and I wanted to come swimming and tried contacting the gym multiple times over a week to check the pool is definitely open but phones don't work. So I get in the car to drive here but the swimming pool is closed. This is second time this has happened to me. It's a big deal for me to get here and extremely disappointing to me that you are wasting my precious time.
