This is a great place to get together with friends sit down and have a catch up with them or just to have a rest while your shopping or while your in town just to look at the world around you 😊 I think it's a perfect place for everyone. At different times, it has its quiet, medium busy and very busy times its good for everyone. It's also great for kids as they can have a rest and enjoy the statue.
This marks a middle spot in the town, traversed by many people making their way ti the shops and colleges. It used to host the Victorian Stone drinking fountain which is now located in Greenhead Park. We sat on one of te benches in the sunshine and enjoyed a small picnic. Born and bred in Huddersfield I have a soft spot for this place.
It's an interesting monument that is worth a visit if you can get past the loads of rubbish and empty drinks cups from the McDonalds nearby or the drinks and 'spice' heads who loiter and beg around it!!
Grubby, deadbeats hanging around Lots of litter, even though bins are provided. On a plus side, the cenotaph is respected
Nice place to eat ice cream from McDonald's at .. especially in lock down
