Lovely little salon. The lady who does my nails is an absolute perfectionist. So polite and friendly too. Thank you 😊
Really lovely staff, love my nails
I've been a regular customer here for around 18 months, always getting infills done with gel polish. For the most part, I've enjoyed a great service, was impressed with the huge choice of colours, and was even offered a cup of tea and biscuit during most of my visits. There was one exception, just before the summer holidays, when the salon was extremely busy, I was rushed to choose my colours, my infills were also rushed and I ended up with jagged edges on one of my nails, which also kept breaking over the subsequent 2 weeks. Still, up until now this was the exception to the rule, so I shrugged this off. Until 2 days ago, when I learned that I'm evidently a second-class customer. Yes, it's the run-up to Christmas, I expected the salon to be busy and to have a bit of a wait - that's perfectly ok and understandable. What isn't acceptable is when a customer who'd arrived some 10 minutes after me was given priority (even though I'd spoken up to say I'd been waiting longer), resulting in my having to wait a further 30 minutes, in addition to the hour and a quarter I'd already been there. I also then noticed that everyone else present was having expensive nail art jobs, far pricier than standard infills with colour, and all 3 nail technicians clearly had all the time and patience in the world to fulfill these clients' wishes - nothing was too much trouble. In the meantime, other members of the public who arrived and asked for more basic treatments, such as a standard manicure or pedicure, were gruffly turned away. When I was finally seen to, it was rush-rush-rush from start to finish - they clearly couldn't wait to see the back of me as quickly as possible in order to be able to focus on the more profitable jobs. Once my infills were done, I had yet another jagged nail as well as several gel polish overspills on a few of my nails and finger tips. When I asked for these to be removed, my request was shrugged off, so much so that when I returned home I had to get the acetone and nail files out myself in order to put things right. Not what I expect when I've paid for a professional job. In the past 18 months, I have regularly arrived to a less-than-busy salon - sometimes I was the only customer there. It seems that during non-peak times, ordinary clients like myself and their money are most welcome, whilst we're clearly an obstacle to maximising profit at peak times. King Nails, if you think it wise to treat your regulars - who provide you with a steady income year-round, rather than just turn up with extravagant wishes at popular times - like this, then good luck to you. You also don't seem to appreciate that it's not just yourselves for whom time is money - the same applies to your customers l. I myself won't be treated like a second-class client again, having my time wasted for the privilege, and will take my custom elsewhere in future.
Very beautiful almond set!
Andy is by far the best specialist I have ever had in both Hull and London. He is working with care and makes sure that every nail is done neatly and to the highest standards. Best service ever!
