The Car Wash Company Hull (St Stephen's)

This is just terrible!!! I paid £35 for the Platinum Service and got THIS (see photo and video). Not only did they fail to clean the car properly, but they also broke my ashtray inside (watch the video!!!). I only noticed it the next day — no one said a word! This is an absolute disgrace! AVOID this place!!! TERRIBLE!!! TERRIBLE!!! TERRIBLE!!!

Very poor. Booked a Platinum valet, paid online. Looked OK under the lighting, but it is dim in there. Once out in daylight it was clear that the polishing was streaky with a lot of finger marks, particularly on the boot lid.I gave it a buff when I got home, and it looked OK. The boot wasn't cleaned properly, still bits on, and underneath, the carpet. Interior had been cleaned but the shelf behind rear seats hadn't been touched, and although the floor mats had been cleaned they hadn't been removed, there was still debris underneath them. Again, I had to do it again. The alloy wheels were clean but still dirty around the wheel nuts, another job for me! This was my first visit, and definitely my last. I wish I had read the reviews. Up to 4 years ago the reviews were good, but as time progresses they do get worse, with the same issues coming up regularly. I would not recommend this business

I’ve used this car wash a few times now, and each time the price I’m quoted is higher than what’s clearly advertised on the wall. Today was no different – I asked for a basic wash based on their listed price, but was immediately told it would cost more. No real explanation, just a shrug and a different price. After looking through other reviews, it seems I’m not the only one who’s experienced this. There’s clearly a pattern of inconsistent and misleading pricing here, which isn’t just bad service—it’s potentially a trading standards issue. I’ll be reporting this to Trading Standards for investigation. If the advertised prices aren’t what customers are expected to pay, then this needs to be addressed properly. Until they sort it out, I’d suggest customers steer clear or be prepared to pay more than advertised.

I felt conned... I went for a standard exterior/interior wash. The prices there are miles away from what is quoted on the company's website. I was offered the "diamond" package as a day offer with just £40 from £95 which I accepted since my car was overdue a thorough clean. I did not get quite that... Car seemed clean on first look under those dimmed lights but when I exited the indoor parking I instantly realised that I over-paid. Photos speak for themselves. Also still no card payments accepted.. Friendly staff but, unfortunately, I will not go back. I've had superior service in a fraction of this price elsewhere.

Asked if the car could be washed before 2pm they said ok. I came back at 2pm and they hadn't even started washing it. I understand they are busy but if they couldn't do it in time they should have said so. The guy then said I could pay them as they would be shut when I returned. The total was £9.95. When I asked for the total he changed it to £10 and I didn't get my change back. It's only £0.5 however as a business he should have given me the change. Anyway I left them to clean the car and when I returned a few hours later the car was very poorly clean with visible areas of dirt. What did I pay for then? A bit of water splash on my car? Clearly just lazy and taking advantage of customers paying in advance. I would for that cause like my money back. Overcharged me, didn't have the car ready for the time they said and also couldn't even clean it properly. They also speak very poorly English which is OK but when it becomes a barrier with a customer it shouldn't be happening. I would avoid they Clearly don't care.
