*I have edited this review to 5 star as I've personally noticed big improvements. Thank you. It's a shame because the doctors and nurses here are wonderful but one particular receptionist has been repeatedly abrupt and dismissive to me and others, even given wrong information. On two occasions she said she'd get information and call or message me, and she does not. I hate leaving negative reviews but please do something!
As I get older I am visiting the doctors more than I ever have. I have to say that all the staff are fantastic. Not once have I had cause for complaint from ordering a repeat prescription, booking a test with the nurse or getting an appointment to see a doctor. I have also seen some of the almost verging on abuse the receptionists have to put up with on a daily basis. "I want to see a doctor now" followed by "I need an interpreter" and they usually get in. Try booking an appointment and waiting your turn like most do. The negative reviews on here are typical of the I want it now entitled mentality of today so here's a 5+ Wolseley Team. Thank You.
Great service, always a doctor available. Need to go more and more due to multiple issues but always friendly. Best surgery I've ever been to!
Wolseley Medical Centre replaced what was once the surgery at 'Spring Bank'. My family attend this surgery and how the receptionists interact with them is beyond appalling! I would say, apart from the odd one or two, need to retrain or leave because they are outright rude & dismissive! They are the first point of call when patients are at their most vulnerable and in need of help/ advice and assistance. The receptionists are completely bereft of empathy and show zero compassion towards patients. Furthermore, I think it's very telling that the majority of patients having negative experiences and writing reviews are people of whom come from ethnic minority backgrounds! This type of intolerance has no place in our culturally diverse society. I really do hope that the surgery makes a conscious effort to listen to the experiences of their patients as they have a duty of care towards them. The insolent & ill - mannered attitude from the reception staff that you have to converse with at the first point of contact is off putting & one could argue that it's putting the needs of patients at risk & possible harm. They're a bad reflection of the surgery and the GP's who for the most part do a fabulous job! The receptionists should be held to account for how they speak to patients or the future of the surgery could be in jeopardy because one day the phones may not ring, the receptionists will wonder what on earth is going on, tapping their manicured nails in a state of agitation whilst all the patients would have swiftly & stealthily moved elsewhere, to a surgery that places both 'Respect' & 'Equality' at the forefront of its primary care - Hear, hear! Kind regards
