We recently welcomed our baby at this hospital, and we are extremely happy with the care we received. The service was excellent, and every member of the staff was friendly, respectful, and very professional. They made us feel comfortable and supported throughout the entire experience. Thank you to all the team for taking such good care of my wife and our newborn. We truly appreciate everything you did for us.
Massive thank you to all the Midwives & Doctors. Special mention to Midwife Annie & Student midwife Louise who delivered our baby. They Couldn’t have made the delivery of our Baby Harlow more re-assuring and special. Both extremely friendly, professional and attentive to everything whilst ensuring my Wife was receiving the best care possible. All the Doctors and midwives on Maple Ward & Rowan ward were also fantastic. They honestly don’t get the credit that they deserve. We are forever grateful for all the help & care we have received.
I received such horrific care here that I had to switch hospitals halfway through my pregnancy. Came out of my first pregnancy booking appointment crying - it was incredibly rushed, less than 10 minutes. You're also kept waiting for hours between seeing different midwives/doctors, and the waiting rooms are full so you have to wait even further away. Absolutely no personal service or care - you are made to feel like a burden. Reception were always incredibly blunt and rude. Even when I called up to inform them I'd switched hospitals (as they kept booking me in for appointments even though they'd been previously informed) the reception were rude and made me feel like an inconvenience. One of the worst hospital experiences I've ever had and switching my care from here was the best decision I've ever made for myself & my baby.
I couldn't be more grateful to all of the nurses in NICU and the nurses on Rowan ward for looking after my son and I so well in our nearly two weeks stay. The staff have been so attentive to our needs and have supported me through every single emotion, the highs and the lows. The care from the staff has been phenomenal. Thank you so much
Katie and Suze on Labour ward were absolutely lovely and supportive. Midwife Linda on labour ward also very helpful (Friday/ Saturday 7/8th June shift). Emergency Csection staff were very supportive in theatre but there was a lack of support postnatally, I was left alone on the postnatal ward for an hour when transferred before being seen by a midwife. Was told there was nobody to watch my daughter whilst I used the toilet due to being shorted staffed. Poor communication during staff handovers leading to miscommunication and incorrect information about my daughter. Some elements of care were brilliant, others not so great at all and left me and my family feeling quite concerned. I was supposed to be given compression socks after my C-section to ease swelling and I didn’t get these until 12 hours after as the midwives had forgotten on the postnatal ward. Lots of checks and information was not relayed to me but stated to my GP it was discussed and I was informed but I was not which is a severe health and safety risk if I am missing crucial information.
